KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Prof. Victor CM Leung

Prof. Victor CM Leung is an Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Shenzhen University, China.  He has co-authored numerous refereed articles in the broad areas of wireless networks and mobile systems, and is a Clarivate Analytics “Highly Cited Researcher”. Dr. Leung is an editor of the IEEE TGCN, IEEE TCC, IEEE TCSS, IEEE Access, IEEE Network, and several other journals. He received the 2017 IEEE ComSoc Fred W. Ellersick Prize, 2017 IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award, 2017 Canadian Award for Telecommunications Research, 2018 IEEE TCGCC Distinguished Technical Achievement Recognition Award, 2018 IEEE CSIM Best Journal Paper Award, and 2019 IEEE TCGCC Best Journal Paper Award, as well as several other awards. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (Academy of Science), Canadian Academy of Engineering, and Engineering Institute of Canada.

Prof. Carlo Fischione

Prof. Carlo Fischione is with KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Division of Network and Systems Engineering, Stockholm, Sweden. He is Director of the KTH-Ericsson Data Science Micro Degree Program directed to Ericsson globally, and Chair of the IEEE Machine Learning for Communications Emerging Technologies Initiative. He is distinguished lecturer of the IEEE Communication Society. His research interests include applied optimization, wireless, sensor networks, Internet of things, and machine learning. He has co-authored over 200 publications, including a book, book chapters, international journals and conferences, and international patents. He received a number of awards, such as the “IEEE Communication Society S. O. Rice” award for the best IEEE Transactions on Communications paper of 2018, the best paper award of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (2007). He is Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications (Machine Learning for Communications area) and IEEE Journal on Selected Areas on Communications (Series on Machine Learning for Communication and Networking), and has been serving as Associated Editor of IFAC Automatica (2014-2019). He is the funding chair of the IEEE International Conference on Machine Learning for Communication and Networking (IEEE ICMLCN). He is co-founder and scientific advisor of ELK.Audio. He is Member of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), and Ordinary Member of DASP (the Italian academy of history Deputazione Abruzzese di Storia Patria).

Dr. Aryan Kaushik

Dr. Aryan Kaushik is Assistant Professor at the University of Sussex, UK. Prior to that, he has been with University College London, UK, from 2020-21, University of Edinburgh, UK, from 2015-19, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, from 2014-15. He has held visiting appointments at Imperial College London, UK, University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, Beihang University, China, and Athena RC, Greece. He has been involved as research lead in UK MOD, DSTL, DASA and EPSRC funded projects including UK-wide UDRC consortium, PI in UKRI HEIF funded projects and ROF funded project, and many other collaborative projects. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, IEEE Communications Letters, IET Signal Processing and IET Networks, and Lead Guest Editor for several Special Issues at IEEE and IET journals such as IEEE IoT Magazine, IEEE OJCOMS and IET Signal Processing. He has been Track Chair for IEEE ICC 2024 and IEEE WCNC 2023, Tutorial/Invited Speaker at several IEEE conferences and workshops such as IEEE WCNC 2023 conference and workshop, WiSPNET 2023, and General Chair for workshops at IEEE WCNC 2023, IEEE PIMRC 2022 and IEEE SECON 2022. His research interests are in 6G, signal processing, wireless communications and AI.
